Wimmera Growers of Australia 40th Anniversary & APS Vic Quarterly Meeting

mallee-to-the-mountains-poster-sWimmera Growers warmly invites you to explore some of the attractions of a drier part of the state, especially drier area gardens.  With the quarterly gathering, help us to celebrate a great 40 years with fellow native plant enthusiasts.

Wimmera Growers of Australian Plants 40th Anniversary & APS Vic Quarterly Meeting
Saturday 29 October:
8:15am: Registration at Horsham Library Carpark.
8:30am: Leave Horsham Library Carpark for Boschen garden – approximate Times
9:30 am: Arrive Boschen Garden
10:00 am: Morning tea,
12:00 am: Arrive Gebert garden – lunch
2:00 pm: Leave for Goods garden
3.00 pm: Afternoon tea
4:30 pm: Leave for Garth garden.
5:40 pm: Arrive back at Library Carpark

6:30pm: Celebratory dinner at Glen Logan followed by guest speaker Neville Walsh who will present a History of Botany in the Wimmera.
Drinks at bar prices. No BYO. Books for sale. Raffle draw.

Sunday 30 October:
8:45am: Meet at Laharum Hall for morning tea. From Horsham follow along the Western Highway and turn right onto Northern Grampians Road until arrival at Laharum Hall.
9:30am: Leave Laharum Hall for Australian Flower Investment Company, a large grower and exporter of Australian Plants at Mt Zero. Directions to the Australian Flower Company will be given before departing Laharum Hall. All visitors will travel by car. If time permits a visit to Mt Zero.
9:30am: COMM meeting in Laharum Hall
12:30pm: Lunch at Laharum Hall, Cutting of 40th Anniversary cake.
1:30pm: Wartook Gardens (Raleigh garden) – afternoon tea. Directions to Wartook Gardens will be given prior to leaving the Laharum Hall.
3:30pm: Depart for home or stay to explore many other attractions in the area.
